The core collective and engine of the Choir Academy is a concert choir, the predecessor of which was the Mixed Choir of the European Capital of Culture created in
2008In 2021 the focus was changed to Estonian music, because the choir wants to highlight choral singing as an important part of Estonian national culture and introduce it to other parts of the world.
The choir has developed its own traditions over the years. On the musical side, big year-end concerts, international competitions and, of course, choral camps, which are crucial in terms of musical quality.
The social life of the choir includes both a Christmas party and a summer bicycle tour. In the 2022 season, the Choir Academy Concert Choir will continue to introduce Estonian music through concert activities and competitions.
