On the occasion of Mother Language Day, the concert will feature brilliant works of Estonian choral music and timeless and touching patriotic music.
The program will feature works by Alo Mattiisen on the occasion of his 65th birthday and the 100th birthday of the composer Lembit Veevo. Works by Veljo Tormis, Arvo Pärt, René Eespere, and others will also be performed.
The concert will be tied together by core texts of Estonian poetry and improvisational folk song arrangements.
The concert will be performed by the Veronika Portsmuth Choir Academy Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. The conductor: Veronika Portsmuth.
