At this year’s traditional concert, a tribute will be paid to one of the great figures of Estonian music — the world-renowned and highly acclaimed composer Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his 90th anniversary this year, and to his magnificent body of work.

The central piece of the concert will be “Te Deum”, written 40 years ago, for three choirs, piano, string orchestra, and tape.

In collaboration with the VENTUMI Orchestra (conductor Edmar Tuul) and professional musicians, listeners will experience the Hymn of St. Ambrose through Arvo Pärt’s composition — a majestic panorama of sounds inspired by the mountains.
